YOU Spectacular Award winners announced
Cape Town –The YOU Spectacular Award winners were announced at a ceremony that took place in Montecasino on Friday, reported Magazine.
The awards, held every year to celebrate South Africa’s most favourite celebrities, were attended by some of the country’s biggest entertainment personalities.
YOU editor, Linda Pietersen, was happy that the event turned out as planned.
“Once again, YOU Spectacular was an enormous success.
“It’s a wonderful opportunity to mingle with the people we feature in our magazine and share the night with some of our readers too.”
Evening’s biggest winners
Jeannie D of Top Billing fame emceed the event and was also one of the evening’s biggest winners. She took home the Sexiest Female Celeb and Most Popular Female Celeb titles.
Ashish Gangapersad, who plays Pradashan Naicker in the soapie, was this year’s Most Popular Celeb following his Favourite Newcomer Award he won last year.
The Parlotones took the Favourite Music Award for the second year in a row.
Model Lee-Ann Liebenberg and her partner Nicky van der Walt won the Favourite Couple award.
The special YOU Personality of the Year Award went to Anicé Kruger whose little daughter, Pippie, sustained burns on 80% of her body when a gel lighter exploded at a braai.
Each category was chosen by the public and 63 000 votes were cast in 14 different category.
