Sahara Ray’s Cause of Death Revealed

October 20, 2026

Sahara Ray’s cause of death has been revealed just days after she suddenly passed away.

The 34-year-old Australian model and swimwear designer – who formerly dated singer Justin Bieber in 2016 – was rushed to the hospital after she reportedly overdosed on fentanyl, a synthetic opioid, last Friday, 16 October.

Two days later, Ray’s family took her off life support, then confirmed her passing on Monday, 19 October.

It is currently unknown if Ray’s actions were accidental or intentional.

Her death comes nine months after she welcomed her daughter, Snowy Ray Dow. Her final Instagram post on 19 July includes a picture of the tot, whom Ray referred to as “my whole heart.”

“Sahara was an incredibly passionate and kind young woman who loved her family, fashion, her daughter Snow and surfing,” her mother, Gretchen Bach, told a British media outlet on Monday. “We’re feeling the love that is pouring in from her cherished friends, fans and the many communities that she was part of around the world.”
