Selma Blair Released on Bail Following Flight Incident
Actress Selma Blair is out on bail after allegedly assaulting several individuals, which led to her being arrested.
On Sunday, 11 October, Blair boarded a Delta Airlines flight from Los Angeles, California, to New York City, New York.
According to reports, the 54-year-old Legally Blonde star allegedly bit one of the flight attendants and punched another. She also attempted to open the plane’s cabin door mid-flight, prompting the attendants – according to media reports – to restrain her before the alleged assault occurred.
Upon her arrival at John F. Kennedy International Airport, Blair was arrested by the Port Authority Police Department and transported to a hospital for evaluation.
She allegedly kicked a police officer and, after arriving at the hospital, proceeded to physically assault a nurse.
Now out on bail, Blair has been charged with two counts of second-degree assault in Queens Criminal Court.
Representatives for the Hellboy actress – who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018 – claim that the Delta incident was partly caused by her missing her prescription medication.
This event comes ten years after Blair was stretchered off a plane following a violent outburst triggered by mixing alcohol with medication.
