Watch: Bieber tackled on stage

May 06, 2013

Justin Bieber was tackled by an over-zealous fan during his show in Dubai last night (5 May).

In a video uploaded to YouTube, a young man in a white shirt can be seen rushing up to the teen superstar – seemingly to hug him – while he was performing at the Sevens Stadium.

Bieber managed to escape, rushing to the side of the stage, as a member of Bieber’s security restrained the fan – knocking over Bieber’s piano in the process.

According to the Telegraph, the band continued to play while the fan and the damaged piano were removed from the stage.

According to the Telegraph, Bieber was shaken but unhurt, and returned to the stage for an encore performance of his hit songs Boyfriend and Baby.

Bieber’s musical director Dan Kanter addressed the incident on his Twitter account, posting:

It wasn’t a prank. Someone ran on stage during Believe and the piano got knocked off its platform. Everyone is fine. No need to worry!
