Thinking that there is a possibility that Marcus could be the father of her child, Amber recruits Carl to perform another paternity test.
Knowing that Brooke’s marriage to Ridge is coming to an end, Stephanie continues to coax Nick to being there for her to help pick up the pieces of her life.
Bill offers Liam the Spencer Publications’ jet to take Hope away on a vacation before Amber has her baby. Amber begins to have contractions while Carl performs the paternity test.
Whip and Oliver commiserate about their mutual broken hearts by the loves of their lives. Oliver anticipates that Amber’s baby will eventually cause problems in Hope and Liam’s relationship, leaving room for him and Hope to reunite.
Liam and Hope’s romantic vacation is cut short when he receives a call from Amber telling him that she is in labor.
Taylor is reluctant when Brooke invites her over for a heart-to-heart talk. After Brooke pours her heart out about her shame and anguish about the situation with Thomas, she makes a bold request to Taylor.
Oliver whisks Hope away to the Big Bear cabin to help her get her mind off of Amber having Liam’s baby. Hope is taken by surprise when Oliver asks her to marry him.
Feeling as though she and Liam may never have a future together, Hope contemplates accepting Oliver’s proposal and Liam desperately attempts to get a hold of Hope to share his news about Amber’s baby.
23 – 31 July
Hope is left in a quandary after Liam inadvertently interrupts Oliver’s marriage proposal. Oliver’s accidental slip of the lip leaves Hope and Liam with many questions regarding his history with Amber. Because of the many opinions and oppositions from those around her, Amber has a difficult time naming her baby.
Taylor delivers the good news to Stephanie that Brooke has selflessly given her blessing for her to be with Ridge. Brooke tells Ridge that she realized that they aren’t meant for each other and that Taylor will give him everything Brooke couldn’t.
Thomas questions if he is deserving of receiving anything that is good because of the lies that he told and lives that he ruined. Brooke is consoled by her sisters after she tells them about giving Taylor and Ridge her blessing to be together.
Donna and Katie attempt to hide their disgust after Brooke confesses to them what Thomas claims happened on the island between them. Brooke is at a loss for words when her sisters ask her how she could ruin the marriage that she fought for years to get.
When Brooke explains how she had told Ridge to move on with Taylor, Hope urges her mother not to let go of Ridge so easily. Taylor expresses her gratitude to Stephanie for helping her reunite with Ridge.
Amber knows that her days in the Spencer’s cliff house are numbered when Bill and Liam pay her a visit. Not knowing what else to do with the house, Bill offers it to Liam to live in. When Ridge and Taylor speak of their future together, he admits that he is overwhelmed with their situation.
When Dayzee confronts Thomas about being emotionally distant, he confesses to her about the lie that he has been telling about Brooke. Hope and Liam celebrate Amber being out of their lives for good
