Simon’s lover staying in NYC
Simon Cowell’s pregnant lover reportedly has no plans to move to Los Angeles to be with him.
Lauren Silverman – who is locked in a bitter divorce battle with estranged husband Andrew Silverman – has hit back at claims that she is "torn" after being warned by Andrew not to leave New York to pursue a relationship with Cowell.
Sources claimed that Andrew has threatened to do everything he can to prevent the socialite from getting custody of their seven-year-old son Adam should she choose to move to Los Angeles.
However, friends close to Lauren – who is expected to give birth in February – told TMZ that she has no plans to move away from New York, and is in the final stages of signing a long-term lease for a home in the city in order to spend as much time as possible with Adam.
Lauren is reportedly furious over suggestions that she would abandon her son to move to Los Angeles, and is said to believe that Andrew’s friends are selling false stories about her to the media.
A source was previously quoted as saying: "Lauren and Simon have been talking about their plans for when the baby is born. They both agree she should live with, or at least very near him, so he can be as involved as possible. This has obviously angered her husband. He has told his legal counsel she is not getting their son if she moves across the country. He just wants the best for Adam."
Cowell, who is currently on holiday in St Tropez, has allegedly been advised by his legal team to stay away from Lauren until she has officially divorced Andrew.
