Schiffer once offered R18-mil for a date
German supermodel Claudia Schiffer says she was once offered R18 million in order to take her out for dinner.
Although the offer came from an Arab prince, Schiffer said she turned him down, because she thought it was strange.
Speaking to talk show host Jonathan Ross who asked her about her experience as a successful young model in the 1990s, Schiffer said that this offer was definitely the weirdest.
"He asked if he could hire me for a dinner for a million pounds. I declined, and some other supermodel took it," she told Ross.
Schiffer also spoke about her ordeal as an awkward teen, saying that she was dubbed "Duck" by other students because of the funny way she walked.
She added that while she might be used to posing for the camera, she is a naturally shy person.
"I’m okay when we’re just one on one, or maybe four people. I’m a really, really shy person. Once I put the makeup on I’d go ‘Okay, I can cope’."
