Sandler named most overpaid actor

Adam Sandler has been named the most over-paid actor in Hollywood by Forbes.

In order to compile their list, the magazine looked at the last three movies each actor starred in over the past three years until 1 June.

Sandler – whose recent films That’s My Boy and Jack & Jill were commercial and critical flops – returned an average of $3.40 for every $1 he was paid.

Former Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl (35) came in a close second on the list, earning $3.50 for every $1 paid, after her films Killers and One for the Money bombed.

There were some other major names on the list too: Nicholas Cage, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Denzel Washington, Matt Damon and Ryan Reynolds were some of the more surprising actors on the list.
