Put your tongue away, Miley!
Kelly Osbourne has told Miley Cyrus to "put her f***ing tongue in her mouth" following her raunchy performance at this Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards.
Former Disney star Cyrus has come under fire for her racy appearance with singer Robin Thicke at the VMAs, which featured her "twerking" and grinding against Thicke during their rendition of his smash hit Blurred Lines.
Cyrus (20) danced in a flesh-coloured latex bikini, repeatedly licked her lips and stuck her tongue out of her mouth, and rubbed herself – and Thicke – suggestively with a foam finger.
And now close pal Osbourne has given Cyrus some advice in a special episode of her show Fashion Police, in which Osbourne and co-stars including Joan Rivers – critiqued Cyrus’ controversial performance.
Osbourne insisted she "loved" Cyrus and "had her back", but also said that she was left a little uncomfortable by the gig.
The 28-year-old said: "I look at the performance and yes, I do have a lot of the same opinions as you guys about it … Look Miley’s my friend and I love her, and I have her back no matter what, but as her friend I’m going to tell her – put your f***ing tongue in your mouth! I love you, but just put your tongue in your mouth."
Osbourne did find some good in Cyrus’s VMA appearance: Her clothes.
She praised Cyrus’ vintage black and jewel Dolce & Gabbana red carpet ensemble, and "appreciated" the latex bikini she wore on stage, comparing it to Lady Gaga’s own VMA ensemble three years ago.
Osbourne clarified: "We’re not talking about her performance, we’re talking about what she’s wearing … It’s not that original (the bikini) but I do appreciate its reminiscent of the Blurred Lines music video."
Thicke’s Blurred Lines famously video had two versions: One in which models strutted their stuff in nude bikinis, and another in which they appeared topless.
