‘Put that damn camera down!’

July 18, 2013

Beyonce singled out a fan for filming at one of her shows instead of participating.

While performing Irreplaceable at the Gwinnett Center in Atlanta, Georgia, over the weekend, the 31-year-old singer encouraged the audience to sing "to the left, to the left", into her microphone.

However, she teased one man who was too busy recording the moment to enjoy it.

She told him: "See, you can’t even sing because you’re too busy taping.

"I’m right in your face baby, you gotta seize this moment, baby! Put that damn camera down!"

Following the reprimand, the man put down his smartphone and had a go at singing the famous line.

Beyonce then said: "Yes, that’s much better."

Despite the light tone of the incident, the Single Ladies hitmaker wasn’t so understanding when a fan smacked her on the bottom at another of her The Mrs Carter Show World Tour dates in Copenhagen in May.

In a similar incident to her fan interruption, the episode happened when Beyonce was encouraging the crowd to sing "to the left, to the left" during Irreplaceable.

After holding her microphone out to the audience on a catwalk in the Forum venue, Beyonce started to make her way back to the stage when a guy reached out his hand and slapped her behind.

The stunned star then turned around to the guy and said: "I will have you escorted out right now, all right?"

She then carried on her performance.
