Miley admits to getting high

Miley Cyrus has joked she and Snoop Lion got on well because they both like getting "high".

The 20-year-old singer worked with Snoop on the track Ashtrays and Heartbreaks for her forthcoming album and revealed the rapper – who is a famous cannabis smoker – told her they were very "similar" people.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday (25 June) – where she was promoting her latest single We Can’t Stop – said: "He comes by the studio, he listens to my music … and he’s excited about what I’m doing with my career so it’s cool.

Quizzed about whether the duo socialise, she continued: "We’re more alike than you would think. We’re very similar. He actually said that."

Making a reference to the hip-hop star’s name change from Snoop Dogg to Snoop Lion, host Kimmel then joked: "That’s because he’s so high he doesn’t even know what his name is…"

Cyrus quipped back: "Me too. We both are. That’s why we get along so well, I guess."

The former Hannah Montana star – who performed her latest song on the show – has long been rumoured to be a marijuana smoker.

When recently quizzed on whether she is a stoner, Cyrus said: "You can’t ask someone that and expect them to say yes. I did a song with Snoop Dogg called Ashtrays and Heartbreaks, so people can put it together for themselves."

Cyrus was given a Bob Marley cake for her 19th birthday and later joked that she smoked "way too much f***ing weed".
