Megan Fox joining ‘Turtles’?
Michael Bay has revealed that Megan Fox is on board for his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot.
In a post on his official website, Bay wrote: "TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!"
Although Fox’s specific role in the reboot has not been revealed, speculation is rife that she could play reporter April O’Neil – ally to Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Donatello and Raphael.
The news comes as a surprise considering Bay and Fox’s history.
Fox was dropped from the Transformers franchise in 2010 following comments in which she compared director Bay to Adolf Hitler.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot – provisionally titled Ninja Turtles, to the ire of fans – will be directed by South African-born Jonathan Liebesman, and is scheduled for release on 14 May 2014.
