Lohan’s mother arrested
Lindsay Lohan’s mother Dina has been arrested for driving under the influence.
According to E! News, the 50-year-old mother-of-three was arrested in Long Island after being pulled over in her BMW for speeding.
New York State Police confirmed that Lohan was stopped at around 11pm for driving 77 miles per hour in a 55 zone. Police administered blood alcohol test, which found that she had over twice the legal limit in her system.
According to the police, after being taken in to a local station "Lohan made an allegation that she was injured during the course of the arrest. State Police called an ambulance to have Lohan evaluated.
"When emergency personnel arrived and evaluated Lohan, there were no injuries, and she recanted her claim."
Lohan was released to a third party and issued two tickets for driving while intoxicated, and aggravated driving while intoxicated.
She is scheduled to appear in Nassau County 1st District Court on 24 September at 9am.
Sources told Radar Online that Lindsay "wasn’t surprised" that her mother was arrested for driving under the influence, and believed that it was "only a matter of time".
"Since being released from rehab, Lindsay has had limited contact with her mother because Dina can be a bad influence on her daughter’s sobriety," the source added.
"Dina will say she is the last person that has a problem with booze, but she does. Lindsay loves her mom, but she is putting herself first, and her recovery, which is a very good thing."
