Lohan’s lawyer a ‘liar’
Lindsay Lohan’s lawyer has been branded a liar after claiming she suffered a concussion from her car accident last June.
The 26-year-old troubled starlet – who is set to go on trial on 18 March for violating her probation after allegedly lying to police about driving her Porsche when she crashed last year – was in no state to be questioned by police at the time because she had a "concussion", according to her New York attorney Mark Heller, who was labelled "incompetent" by Judge James Dabney on Friday (1 March).
During a press conference after his appearance in court yesterday, Heller claimed: "My client suffered a concussion, and never should have been questioned by the police. She was basically held against her will and forced to answer questions."
However, law enforcement officials told gossip website Radar Online that medical records show that the star suffered no head injury.
"The doctors who treated Lindsay on the day of her car accident last summer didn’t diagnose her with a concussion. She suffered no injury to her head whatsoever," the officials said.
"She did have bruised ribs, and she was very sore, but that was her only significant injury.
"Lindsay had a CT scan of her head, neck, and spine and there was no injury. Not only that, but Lindsay went back to work after leaving the hospital.
"For Mark Heller to claim that Lindsay had a concussion is an absolute and blatant lie. When she was questioned by cops at the emergency room, she wasn’t denied any medical attention because of them."
Heller, had all of his filed motions – including a request for continuance on the grounds that Lohan deserves "mercy and compassion" – denied by Judge James Dabney, who ordered the starlet to appear in court on 18 March.
During the court hearing, Dabney told Heller – who practises law in New York – to find a California attorney to help him with Lohan’s case.
"Somebody needs to come in to assist you who has some experience in California law for procedure or Miss Lohan is going to have to come in here and waive her right to have attorneys who are competent in California law and procedure to go forward."
Meanwhile, Lohan’s estranged father Michael has branded Heller a "loser" and says he has already found a California lawyer willing to take his daughter’s case – for which he has offered to pay.
Speaking about Heller, he added: "This guy is a loser and will drag her down. I already started to pray to God that Lindsay fires him before it’s too late.
"Any professional, respectable, or sure-footed lawyer would never conduct himself in this matter.
"This guy has two left feet that keep leading him into a wall."
