Listen: Adele’s Bond theme
After much speculation, the highly-anticipated theme for the new James Bond film Skyfall has been released.
Performed by multi-award-winning superstar Adele and co-written by her Rolling in the Deep producer and co-writer Paul Epworth, Skyfall was debuted at 12.07am this morning (5 October) – on the 50th anniversary of the release of the first James Bond film, Dr No.
The track was recorded at London’s famous Abbey Road studios with the backing of a 77-piece orchestra and is a typically rich and sweeping Bond theme – reminescent of Dame Shirley Bassey’s iconic theme songs for films such as Diamonds Are Forever and Goldfinger.
