Liam’s rep slams affair rumour

September 12, 2013

Liam Hemsworth’s representative has rubbished rumours that the actor has been wooing actress January Jones behind his fiancée Miley Cyrus’ back.

According to Gossip Cop, Us Weekly had reported that the actor "fired off a graphic, sexual text message" to Jones that allegedly read "I want to [expletive] you."

Us Weekly quoted a source as saying: "Liam and Miley haven’t officially split, but it’s over. It’s just that neither wants to pull the trigger."

However, Hemsworth’s representative has flat-out denied the report, releasing a statement that read: "As you know, we officially never comment on his personal life, however we are breaking with tradition to set the record straight.

"The story of Liam Hemsworth and January Jones is entirely fabricated. There is no truth whatsoever to this tabloid fiction."

This is not the first time that Hemsworth and Jones have been linked. The pair were spotted getting close at a pre-Oscars bash earlier this year, before leaving the venue together – sparking rumours that they were having an affair.

Cyrus and Hemsworth have been leading increasingly busy lives and have rarely been photographed in public together this year.

Hemsworth has been promoting his new movie Paranoia, and is gearing up for promotional duties for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire later this year.

Meanwhile, Cyrus is aggressively promoting her new album BANGERZ, releasing her new music video Wrecking Ball, in which she appears completely naked.

Wrecking Ball smashed the record for the most number of Vevo views in 24 hours, and has earned over 55 million views since being published on 9 September.
