Kim, Kanye buy a home
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have bought an $11-million mansion in Bel Air.
The couple – who recently announced they are expecting their first child together in June – are now the owners of a 10 000 square-foot home in a private gated community in California and they plan to revamp the property into an Italian-style villa.
According to gossip website TMZ, Kardashian (32) and West (35) have already started developing the property to fit their needs and are planning to install a gym, movie theatre, bowling alley, hair and make-up salon, indoor and outdoor pool and their own basketball court.
A source revealed to People: "It’s so exciting for them. The house is gorgeous. And they really wanted and needed the privacy."
The luxury neighbourhood is already home to stars such as actress Jennifer Aniston and founder of the Girls Gone Wild entertainment franchise, Joe Francis.
Meanwhile, Kardashain and West have flown to Paris for a week "just to chill" after announcing her pregnancy, and are enjoying a "babymoon" in the French city, a source revealed.
Kardashian and her rapper boyfriend were recently said to have turned down a $3-million magazine offer for the first photos of their baby and the reality star has also been offered $250 000 to host pregnancy website MyPregnancy.com.
The pair, however, do intend to share the pregnancy and first moments as parents on Kim’s show Keeping Up with the Kardashians and spin-off programme Kourtney and Kim Take Miami.
E! Entertainment network president Suzanne Kolb previously said: "Kim and Kanye are an incredibly dynamic couple, and their baby news is just so exciting. Like so many Kardashian fans, we love it when this close-knit family gets even bigger. We look forward to sharing the joy as they prepare for more diapers, more bottles and without a doubt, more fabulous baby wear."
