Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are engaged.
According to E! News, the 36-year-old rapper proposed to Kardashian yesterday (21 October) in front of their friends and family at the AT&T Park stadium in San Francisco, which he rented out for the occasion.
Kardashian – who gave birth to their daughter North in June – was celebrating her 33rd birthday, and a source previously revealed that West had been planning the "top secret" proposal for a while.
BANG Showbiz quoted a source as saying: "Kanye had planned to propose for Kim’s birthday.
"He chose the ring from exclusive jewellers Boucheron on a recent trip to Paris. But everything else is top secret."
West is expected to share the engagement news at one of his Yeezus tour shows in California, which Kardashian will attend, the source added.
This will be the first marriage for West and the third for Kardashian, who tied the knot with music producer Damon Thomas when she was 19 and separated from basketball player Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage in 2011.
Kardashian previously revealed that she and West did plan to marry, but were in no rush to get hitched.
She told Cosmopolitan in February: "[Marriage] is something I know that we both want in our future, but I don’t have this sense of urgency about it.
"I have this best friend who understands me and helps me through all my tough experiences, and vice versa, you know? It just feels like this is it for me."
