Khloe’s husband arrested

Khloe Kardashian’s husband Lamar Odom was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, and has lost his drivers’ license for a year.

The basketball star – who is reportedly struggling with an addiction to crack cocaine and has been accused of cheating on Kardashian with at least two women – was stopped by the California Highway Patrol in his white Mercedes SUV at 3.25am on Friday (30 August), after being spotted by police driving too slowly and in a "serpentine manner" on the highway, TMZ reports.

According to Los Angeles police, Odom showed "objective signs of intoxication and was unable to perform sobriety tests as explained and demonstrated".

He was booked into Van Nuys prison at 5.01am before posting $15 000 bail and being released at 8.33am. 

According to TMZ, Odom refused all chemical tests when he was booked, and as a result immediately lost his drivers’ license for a year, in accordance with California state law.

Public Information Officer Leland Tang said Odom can reapply for his license in 12 months when he will have to take a written test.

Meanwhile, 29-year-old Kardashian – who has been married to Odom since 2009 – is hoping that this latest incident will force him to seek help for his substance abuse problems.

A source told E! News: "Khloe and the family are urging Lamar to seek treatment.

"Khloe has been trying so, so hard to keep him from hitting a bottom like this. But if this is what needed to happen, then this is what needed to happen.

"Hopefully this will be his wake up call."
