Khloe Kardsahian files for divorce

Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce from Lamar Odom on Friday.

The reality star ended her four-year marriage to the basketball star after their relationship was plagued with rumours of his infidelity and addiction to crack cocaine.

In legal documents filed by her attorney Laura Wasser, Kardashian cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for terminating her marriage, TMZ reports.

Kardashian has requested that her legal name be changed from Kardashian-Odom to Kardashian, having already removed her husband’s surname from her social media accounts in September.

A source said at the time: "Changing her name on social media was a big step in letting people know she is moving on."

Although the couple have been living mostly separate lives since it emerged that Odom had been cheating on Kardashian with a number of women and was battling with an addiction to drugs, it is only recently that Kardashian decided to file for divorce.

The source said: "It was a recent decision. She’s been holding out hope but she has to look out for herself." 

The couple tied the knot in a lavish ceremony exactly one month after meeting at a Hollywood party.
