Kate Winslet gives birth to son
Kate Winslet has given birth to a baby boy.
The 38-year-old Oscar-winner – who has a nine-year-old son Joe with her ex-husband Sam Mendes, and a 13-year-old daughter Mia with her ex-husband Jim Threapleton – welcomed her first child with her third husband, Ned Rocknroll, at an NHS hospital in Sussex on Saturday (7 December).
A spokesperson told the Mail Online: "Kate had ‘Baby Boy Winslet’ on Saturday, December 7 at an NHS Hospital. Mother and baby are doing great."
The spokesperson added that Winslet and Rocknroll were "thrilled to bits" with the new arrival.
According to the New York Post’s Page Six, the couple’s bundle of joy weighed in at nine pounds.
Winslet and Rocknoll – who is billionaire Richard Branson’s nephew and an employee of the space-travel arm of Branson’s Virgin empire – tied the knot in December 2012 after a whirlwind courtship.
Just 12 of the couple’s friends – including Winslet’s Titanic co-star and close friend Leonardo DiCaprio, who gave her away – were in attendance at the secret ceremony.
