Kanye ‘punched’ teen that insulted Kim
Kanye West allegedly assaulted a teenager at a Beverly Hills office building.
E! News reports that according to the Beverly Hills Police Department, West is named as a suspect in a misdemeanour battery incident that they are currently investigating.
According to E! News, police responded to a 911 call on Monday (13 January) after the 36-year-old rapper confronted a teen who was reportedly shouting racial slurs at him and his fiancée, Kim Kardashian.
A source described the teenager as an "around 18-year-old white man", and told E! News: "Kim and Kanye were meeting for an appointment today.
"Kim arrived later than Kanye. En route into the building Kim saw a young man yelling racial slurs at the paparazzi. Kim told him he shouldn’t use racial slurs and he turned on her and verbally assaulted her."
The insider added that the youth told the reality star to "shut the f**k up* and called her a "n***er-lover", a "stupid slut" and said that he would "kill" her.
The source continued: "The two ended up in a stairwell where the man was in her face and continued to verbally assault her. She was genuinely scared."
"Kanye called her phone and she answered and the man continued yelling at her.
"Kanye overheard and came running down… he confronted the guy," E! News quoted the source as saying.
A second source confirmed that West called Kardashian because she was running late, and when she answered she was "crying hysterically".
According to TMZ, the pair followed the youth into a chiropractors office. After West’s arrival, the teen continued insulting the couple, with the source adding: "He was in Kanye’s face and wouldn’t stop. He was taunting him. Police were called to the scene."
TMZ reports that West punched the youth, and the pair were separated by a massage therapist. By the time police arrived, West and Kardashian had left the scene.
According to E! News, the youth was later seen leaving the building with a shirt wrapped around his head.
While the Beverly Hills Police Department has yet to release any further information, Kardashian has reportedly instructed her lawyer to file a lawsuit against the teen, who has told police that he wishes to file charges against West.
This is not the only battery investigation West is currently involved in. He is also facing charges for allegedly attacking a photographer at the Los Angeles Airport.
