Josh Brolin checks into rehab facility

Josh Brolin has reportedly checked into rehab for substance abuse issues.

The 47-year-old actor – best known for his roles in No Country for Old Men and last year’s Men in Black III – has checked himself into a California treatment facility just weeks after allegedly getting into a drunken brawl at a pub.

A source told Us Weekly that Brolin "realised he needed help and is committed to his sobriety."

On 2 November, Brolin was reportedly seen fighting with an unknown male near the entrance to an Irish pub in Santa Monica, California, just after 2am – although Brolin is reported to have hugged his opponent after trading a few blows.

On 4 November, Brolin told TMZ that he was "completely done" with drinking.

Brolin’s decision to check into rehab comes after a difficult year. Brolin was arrested for public intoxication in California on 1 January this year, and announced in February that he and his wife Diane Lane were ending their eight-year marriage.
