Jeremy Clarkson Reveals Prostate Cancer Diagnosis

June 18, 2026

Television presenter Jeremy Clarkson, 66, has revealed he was diagnosed with an aggressive but early-stage form of prostate cancer.

The diagnosis was announced during the fifth series of his documentary, “Clarkson’s Farm”, which chronicles the challenges of running his Oxfordshire farm. The episode aired on Wednesday, 17 June.

Clarkson learned of the condition following a medical exam and subsequent biopsy. To treat the disease, he underwent an operation to remove the cancerous ten per cent of his prostate. However, the season concluded with the host back in hospital after some treatment went “awry”.

He faces a period out of action and expects to learn whether the surgery was successful by November.

This diagnosis follows a series of health scares for the presenter, who previously required a heart procedure to clear blocked arteries.

The charity Prostate Cancer United Kingdom (UK) praised Clarkson for raising vital awareness of the disease, which accounts for over a quarter of new male cancer cases in the UK.

Discussing the critical nature of early detection, Jeremy Clarkson stated: “If I hadn’t have got myself checked out and they hadn’t caught the problem early, this could well have been my last harvest.”
