Jen, Ange dodge encounter
Jennifer Aniston’s team allegedly changed her travel plans to avoid an encounter with Angelina Jolie.
According to E! Online, a British Airways employee noticed that the two stars were booked on the same 11-hour flight from Los Angeles to London on Sunday night (11 August), and contacted Aniston’s camp to inform them of the "potentially uncomfortable situation".
A source told E! News that neither Aniston nor Jolie had any idea that they were booked on the same flight, and Aniston was not informed of the reason behind her last-minute switch to a flight on Monday.
In addition, sources reveal that although both actresses usually stay at The Dorchester hotel in London – the hotel favoured by Aniston’s ex-husband and Jolie’s current fiance, Brad Pitt – neither of them were booked into the venue this week.
Aniston – who is now engaged to Justin Theroux – previously revealed that her split from Pitt was "amicable".
"It wasn’t mean and hateful and all of this stuff that they tried to create about Brad can’t talk to Jen and Jen can’t talk to Brad because this person won’t allow it. It just didn’t happen. The marriage didn’t work out," she told Vogue.
"And pretty soon after we separated, we got on the phone and we had a long, long conversation with each other and said a lot of things, and ever since we’ve been unbelievably warm and respectful of each other."
