I’m happier after split from Miley – Liam
Liam Hemsworth has revealed that he is "much happier" following his split from Miley Cyrus.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star – who announced his split from the controversial Wrecking Ball singer in September – told the Associated Press:"These days I feel like I’m more centred and grounded than I’ve ever been."
Hemsworth – who met Cyrus on the set of their 2010 film The Last Song – revealed that he has "learned so much" since moving to Los Angeles from his native Australia five years ago.
He said: "The first few years in LA were really tough and scary, but I had to figure things out for myself."
He also revealed that he has had to figure out how to deal with the media attention – particularly around his relationship with 20-year-old Cyrus, which was plagued with rumours of his infidelity and an alleged affair with Mad Men star January Jones.
Hemsworth said: "What I always keep in mind is that I know what the truth is and that’s all that matters. I know I’m a good person."
Although he has been linked to Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez, Hemsworth insists that he isn’t dating anyone right now.
He also credited his Hunger Games co-star Jennifer Lawrence with helping him to learn to live in the moment.
He said: "For a few years I went down a path where I forgot to be in the moment and enjoy the moment.
"But being around someone like Jen, who is so honest and laughs all day long, I am forced to be in the right now. I’m much happier."
