‘I’m actually retiring’ – Bieber
The internet is an uproar after a snippet from an interview suggested that Justin Bieber could be retiring from music.
The 19-year-old pop star – whose new album Journals is releasing next week – has caused controversy in recent months for his wild antics, which include partying in nightclubs, visiting a brothel and spray-painting a hotel in Australia.
In a preview clip from an interview with radio station Power 106, Bieber says "After the new album, I’m actually retiring man. I’m retiring."
However, he went on to suggest that he isn’t quitting for good, saying: "I want to grow as an artist and I’m taking a step out, I want my music to mature."
A source close to the singer insisted that Bieber was just joking, saying: "The kid’s got ambition."
In the clip, Bieber also hit back at his critics, saying: "People think I’m arrogant, I’m not, I’ve always been a caring and giving person."
He added: "I’m 19 I’m gonna make mistakes it’s inevitable."
