What it’s about:
A hilarious family comedy about three primary school girls and their obsessed mothers who share the same desire – for their girls to become Head Girl of Laerskool Stumbo Pops. The story follows Nadia van Heerden (12), an adorable orphan who lives with her cynical grandmother, and shares the dream.
Nadia tastes success when she takes the award for Best Public Speaker, but failure at netball tryouts, entrepreneurs’ day and academics is just the start of her problems. She is convinced that her best friend, Melissa, has betrayed her, and soon Nadia becomes a self-centered “mean girl” who will do anything for the title of Head Girl. It’s only after Nadia sacrifices the good qualities in her personality that she learns what a true leader should be.
