Holly Madison gets engaged
Holly Madison has got engaged to her "wonderful" partner Pasquale Rotella.
The Holly Has a Baby reality star took to her blog on Monday (24 June) to announce that her boyfriend had proposed to her at the weekend in Las Vegas.
Madison – who gave birth to the couple’s first child, daughter, Rainbow, in March – wrote: "I got engaged on Sunday! My fiancé was so wonderful in creating such a romantic night! He proposed to me at the top of the Ferris wheel at EDC Las Vegas (the Electric Daisy Carnival)."
The former Playboy model – who dated the magazine’s owner Hugh Hefner – also revealed the evening was made even more special because the betrothed couple were joined by some of their closest friends.
She added: "I was so happy that so many of our close friends were there to share the wonderful moment with us! We rode around the festival on the art cart until the sun came up! I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful or magical proposal!"
Sharing a picture of the pair celebrating with champagne on Instagram, she later posted on Twitter: "Thank you @pasqualerotella for the most special night of my life! I can’t wait to be your wife. (sic)"
She also revealed that Rotella designed the 18-carat diamond engagement ring himself with celebrity jeweller Allen Schwartz.
The 33-year-old blonde beauty told People.com: "My fiancé designed it himself, because I told him that’s what would make it most special.
She also revealed that the ring – which is made up of an elaborate cushion-cut yellow diamond, surrounded by pink and yellow diamond flowers – also features some extra-personal touches.
"Because we love owls, there is a hidden owl engraved on the rose gold in between two of the flowers," she revealed. "The band is art nouveau-inspired, to go with the flowers."
