Have Brangelina set a date?

Have Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie set a wedding date? One gossip columnist seems to think so.

According to Noah Levy – a co-host on Vh1’s The Gossip Table – Pitt and Jolie "actually have  set a date", saying that "the wedding of the century could be this summer".

However, Levy provided no further details, other than saying: "It could be a very private affair and we all just happen to find out afterward."

A renewed focus on the couple’s planned nuptials has come following the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down the Defence of Marriage Act – which denied federal benefits to married gay couples – and reinstating same-sex marriage in California.

The couple – who famously vowed not to wed until same-sex couples in the United States could legally marry – officially became engaged in April 2012, but insisted that they were in no hurry to tie the knot.

However, Pitt did reveal that the couple’s six children were clamouring for their parents to get hitched.

"We’re getting a lot of pressure from the kids," he said. "We didn’t know how much it meant to them and then, in getting engaged, how much it also means to us."
