First look: Kim’s $7m ring!
Kim Kardashian has shared a photo of her $7-million, 15-carat diamond ring from Kanye West.
The reality star – who became engaged to West, the father of her four-month-old daughter North, on her 33rd birthday – shared a snap of her ring on her Instagram account with the caption "YES!!!"
West helped to design Kardashian’s engagement ring with the help of celebrity jewellery designed Lorraine Schwartz – who also designed the ring that Kardashian received from former husband Kris Humphries.
A spokesperson for the jewellery designer said: "Kanye was involved in every single way. He had a vision from the beginning. He looked at a lot of stones and he wanted only the best. He wanted the diamond to look like it was floating on air. Everything was his idea from beginning to end."
While the ring was originally reported to be valued at $3-million, a jewellery expert later revealed its true value to be between $7-million and $8-million, as the diamond is "flawless".
Meanwhile, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star told E! News that West’s proposal was "truly magical".
"I am the luckiest girl in the world!" she added. "I get to marry my best friend!"
According to E! News, West (36) hired out the AT&T Stadium in San Francisco for the proposal, and went down on one knee as the words "PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!" flashed on the stadium screen and fireworks lit up the night sky.
In addition, West hired a 50-member orchestra to perform his song Knock You Down and Lana Del Ray’s Young and Beautiful, hired one of San Francisco’s top caterers to do the food, and secretly flew in all of Kardashian’s closest friends and family to celebrate with the couple after she accepted.
It was also revealed that West asked for Kardashian’s mother Kris Jenner’s permission before popping the question, and the 57-year-old reality star is thrilled for "both" her kids.
The showbiz matriarch told E! News: "A match made in heaven! I am so happy for both of my kids, Kim and Kanye."
