Douglas moves back home

Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are reportedly living together again.

According to the Daily Mail, Douglas – who left the family home in August – has reportedly moved back into the New York apartment he shares with Zeta-Jones and their two children.

A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: "Michael’s asked Catherine to give things another try and she’s agreed. It’s not just for the sake of the children.

"When they’re good they’re amazing together, so they’re hammering out their issues at their home. It’s good news and Catherine is on top of the world."

Douglas and Zeta-Jones – who have been married for 13 years – announced in August that they were taking some time apart to "evaluate their marriage".

The couple have had a difficult few years following Douglas’ battle with throat cancer in 2010 and Zeta-Jones’ two stints in a rehab facility in 2011 and 2012 to treat bipolar disorder.

A source told People at the time that "the stress has taken a toll on their marriage".

However, Douglas remained hopeful that the pair would work out their differences, telling reporters at the Emmy Awards last month – where he picked up a best actor Emmy for his role in Behind the Candelabra – that he was "very hopeful" that they were going to save their marriage.

"As I said we’re just taking a break, a couple of issues, sometimes you gotta do that."
