Dark Knight Rises delayed for Marion
New York – Christopher Nolan delayed filming on The Dark Knight Rises for Marion Cotillard.
The French beauty plays the love interest of Christian Bale’s alter-ego, Bruce Wayne/Batman, in the new movie but after Marion discovered filming dates would clash with the birth of her son Marcel, the director adjusted his $250m production schedule, saying he wanted to “figure it out”.
Praising the 36-year-old star, Christopher told US Vogue: “She’s Superwoman.”
Although Marion found it difficult to return to work straight after giving birth she is happy she did.
She said: “I’ve never been more exhausted. But I’ve never had more energy. This is the paradox of being happy. That’s where it comes from.”
In the movies she plays Miranda Tate – an ecologically-minded businesswoman – whom Bruce falls for.
She previously said: “They go through difficulties, and she wants to help provide the world clean energies. She’s a good guy.
“They don’t know each other initially, but they meet and kind of understand each other right away. They both have a lot of money and are trying to use it in a good way, but there’s also tension between them.”
