Brad splashes out on lingerie
Brad Pitt bought Angelina Jolie R45 000 worth of lingerie for her birthday.
The Salt actress – who recently underwent a double mastectomy after being diagnosed with the BRCA1 gene which increases the risk of breast cancer – celebrated turning 38 on 4 June and the World War Z star marked the special occasion by treating his fiance to a whole new wardrobe – including saucy underwear from high-end lingerie brand Agent Provocateur.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Since Angie has recovered from the surgery her and Brad have been acting like a couple of love-struck teenagers. They can’t keep their hands off each other. It was her birthday on Tuesday and as well as the underwear, Brad arranged for the French fashion designer Hedi Slimane from Saint Laurent in Paris to sort her out with a whole wardrobe full of new clothes.
"Angelina was so touched by Brad’s gifts that she teared up. She can’t wait to marry him this summer."
Pitt (49) admitted he marked Angelina’s birthday with a "dirty" gift at the German premiere of his new zombie flick in Berlin, Germany, on Tuesday.
Quizzed what he bought for Jolie’s birthday, he told BILD: "Oh, that’s private, very private. But it’s always something for her as a woman, as a mother, and something dirty. Always."
The couple first celebrated Jolie’s birthday with a romantic dinner in Paris on Monday, 3 June while in town for the French premiere of World War Z and then enjoyed a family dinner with their six children – Maddox (11), Pax (nine), Zahara (eight), Shiloh (six) and four-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne – at Japanese eatery Kuchi on her actual birthday in Berlin on Tuesday.
