Black Coffee’s sex tape scandal

June 03, 2014

South African DJ Black Coffee’s personal life s back in the spotlight after another scandal resurfaced last week.

Sunday World newspaper reported that the star’s been embroiled in a sex tape and blackmail saga involving a woman named Lerato Motseke.

Motseke was reportedly arrest for extortion by the Hawks in Midrand last Wednesday (28 May) after she threatened to leak a clip showing the DJ having sex with one of his fans.

A police officer, who was not named, reportedly told Sunday World, that 23-year-old Motseke had downloaded the clip after her friend left her phone with her during a bathroom break at a restaurant in Welkom.

She allegedly also took Black Coffee’s number and began to call the DJ threatening him that she would release or leak the clip on social media if he didn’t pay her R100k.

According to Sunday World, Black Coffee pleaded with her not to leak the clip and promised Motseke R30k telling her that he could not afford 100 000. The arrangement was to pay her R20k and then settle the score with R10k when he returns from his UK tour.

The DJ and his lawyer apparently arranged to meet Motseke at Spar Supermarket in Vorna Valley in Midrand according to a police source. Another police officer also added that they thought that Black Coffee’s manager tipped off the The Hawks and told them to meet Motseke at the same spot as arranged.

Mosteke fell for the trap and was arrested for extortion and denied bail when she appeared in the magistrate’s court on Thursday, 29 May in Midrand.

Her formal bail hearing will take place some time this week.
