At last! Zoe confirms she is married

Zoe Saldana has finally confirmed that she is married to Marco Perego.

The Star Trek star – who was reported to have tied the knot with the Italian artist in a secret ceremony in London in June – opened up about her marriage during an interview with Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday.

During his late night talk show, Kimmel said to Saldana: "Congratulations! You got married since the last time I saw you."

The 35-year-old star replied: "I did. Thank you, thank you. And congratulations to you, too. You got married."

Kimmel – who married Molly McNearney in July – responded with: "Thank you. It’s not a competition, though. We don’t need to just go around getting married.

After Saldana asked where Kimmel got hitched, he replied: "I got married in Ojai, which is about an hour away from here. It’s in the desert. And you?"

Saldana replied: "I got married in England. I did it in England. Can you top that?"

"Uh, no," Kimmel said.

"So it is a competition, I guess," quipped Saldana.

Saldana and Peregro – who have been friends for years – only went public with their romance in May, and sparked rumours that they had secretly married after being photographed in London looking like they were trying to hide wedding bands.
