U2 live CD features tracks from SA
Cape Town – Irish Rock band feature South African jazz musician Hugh Masekela in their latest album release titled U22.
The singer performed the song I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For with the group during the Johannesburg leg of their tour.
The song is featured as part of a two-CD collection of 22 live tracks from various shows on U2’s 360° tour that is being distributed via the post to members of the fan club only.
According to blogger Calhouns the album is carried inside a simple cardboard envelope the size of a 12″ vinyl slipcase with a booklet, CDs and a short note saying “thanks for subscribing”.
Two of the songs Mysterious Ways and I Still Haven’t Found What I’m looking for were recorded at live performances, in Cape Town and Johannesburg respectively, during the South African Leg of the tour.

Cape Town – Irish Rock band U2’s new album titled U22 has finally been delivered to members of the group’s fan club.
Two of the songs, Mysterious Ways and I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For, were recorded during the band’s 2011 performances in Cape Town and Johannesburg respectively.
The latter song features local jazz musician Hugh Masekela performing on stage with the rest of the band.
The songs form part of a two-CD collection of 22 live tracks from various shows on U2’s 360° tour held last year and is being distributed to members of the fan club only.
The tracklisting was decided by votes cast by fans.
One of the bloggers on, Calhouns, said: “Like U2.com said a week ago, my U22 was on its way. It arrived this
afternoon. I didn’t see how it came, it was just on the porch when I
went to get the regular old mail.”
The group’s website previously reported that members of the fan club would get an e-mail letting them know that the album had been posted to their various addresses at the end of May.
