Trump’s sons attacked for animal cruelty

Cape Town – Donald Trump’s sons, Donald Jr and Eric who went on a hunting safari in Zimbabwe last year and took photographs of their killings, have come under attack from animal rights groups, after the images were published on

The gruesome photographs, which include the two businessmen posing with the carcasses of an elephant, crocodile, kudu, civet cat and water buck, caused outrage amongst wildlife conservationists.

One image shows Donald Trump Jr holding aloft a dismembered elephant tail, and in another the brothers pose alongside a dead crocodile that had been strung up into a tree.
 
Animal rights group, Peta criticised the killings in a statement to :

“Like all animals, elephants, buffalo, and crocodiles deserve better than to be killed and hacked apart for two young millionaires’ photo opportunity. If the young Trumps are looking for a thrill, perhaps they should consider skydiving, bungee jumping, or even following in their anti-hunting father’s footsteps and taking down competing businesses – not wild animals.”

‘I don’t apologize’

The brothers defended their actions and said they had donated the meat to nearby villagers.
 
“I don’t apologise to cater to public opinion when I did nothing wrong. To do so would be to sell myself out,” wrote Trump Jr on his .

Trump snr told that he is not a fan of hunting but defended his son’s actions.

“My sons love hunting. They’re hunters and they’ve become good at it. I know that anything they did was 100% OK in terms of the hunting community.”
