Prince Harry spent Easter in Transylvania

April 09, 2012

Bucharest – Romanian media say Britain’s Prince Harry spent the Easter break in a Transylvanian region where bear and wolves roam wild.

Harry is reported to have arrived in Romania on Friday and spent the holiday in a country mansion owned by his father Prince Charles. Images of the prince riding a motorbike in the snowy fields were broadcast on Monday.

Charles is known to be enamoured with the unspoiled landscape and centuries-old farming traditions in Transylvania, where he owns several houses and cottages.

Harry didn’t leave Romania empty-handed. Istvan Nagy, mayor of the town of Baraolt, told the Mediafax news agency he gave the prince a bottle of the fiery local plum brandy.
