New York braces for Swift-Kelce nuptials
Manhattan is bracing for the celebrity wedding of the century at Madison Square Garden.
Pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL champion Travis Kelce kick off celebrations this Thursday evening, 2 July, with an exclusive 100-guest pre-party, ahead of Friday’s star-studded ceremony hosting 1 000 guests.
Secrecy is paramount; attendees have reportedly signed confidentiality agreements and must surrender their phones. Rumoured guests include Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid, alongside musical legends Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney.
To handle the influx, police have coordinated street closures, while transit chief Janno Lieber stated, “I hope and expect that some of the celebrities, if there are celebrities coming to this alleged event, will take full advantage of our service”.
Outside, fans are braving extreme heat. Amid the frenzy, fashion experts are predicting the bride’s wardrobe. Contenders include Jonathan Anderson for Christian Dior, Ralph Lauren, and Oscar de la Renta, while Stella McCartney is tipped for an afterparty outfit change.
For the groom, Mike Amiri remains the frontrunner to design a traditional tuxedo. Ultimately, fans remain unfazed by the unconventional, historic sports venue, with enthusiast Elizabeth Maxey chiming in, “You’re gonna be able to make anything look pretty.”
