Leon Schuster’s new movie to go on tour
Johannesburg – Leon Schuster is set to take his new movie Mad Buddies on a national tour.
The tour will kick-start on 15 June when the stars of the movie embark on a five-city visit to celebrate the release of the new movie.
Schuster, who plays the lead role, was upbeat about the upcoming tour as well as the movie release.
“Mad Buddies has been a work of passion for me, the cast and crew. What better way to celebrate this film that took over 3 years to bring to life, than by sharing it with the South African public in such a personal way!” he said.
Meet the main actors
Fans will also get to meet the main actors of the movie which include Schuster (who plays Boetie), Kenneth Nkosi (who plays Beast) and Alfred Ntombela (who plays Minister of Tourism, Mr Mda).
The movie is about two sworn enemies, Boetie and Beast who are forced to embark on a road trip as unwitting subjects of a new TV reality show organised by the Minister of Tourism.
The touring cast will stop off at eMalahleni, Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg consecutively.
Mad Buddies will open nationwide in cinemas on Friday 22 June 2012.
