The fire chooses its own victims in its own way and its own time. The burial exposes further rifts in the Sibeko family.

Zeb has an intuition about his son. Benjamin has to deal with his choice of leaving Cherel to die. Jefferson struggles to adapt to office life. Zeb has an unwelcome return guest.

Jefferson takes a sudden and specific interest in one aspect of the surrogate pregnancy. Bianca has a clear and terrible intimation of what the future might look like. A father and son find themselves connected in a way they were not expecting.

Jefferson places Dr. McNamara in a massive ethical dilemma with his request. Ayanda makes a momentous and brave decision to return to her roots. Zeb and Sechaba irritate and infuriate one another as they try to work together.

Jefferson uses dodgy means to try and persuade McNamara to act against her principles. S’khu makes a premature announcement which enrages Ayanda.

23 – 26 Jan

Jefferson finds a way to get Bianca to agree to a blood test that will determine the gender of the foetus. Agnes has an idea for a mediator for Zeb and Sechaba.

Jefferson pushes Bianca to take the test – but is the baby a boy or a girl? Ayanda discovers that S’khu is planning to re-unite her with the man who got her into drugs.

Sechaba and Zeb get their project approved, but their celebration gets them arrested.

Jefferson’s cruel treatment of his wife knows no bounds. S’khumbuzo is forced to re-evaluate his outlook when Prada makes him see the truth about Bianca.

Zeb plummets to emotional depths he’s never known before.

Thunder rumbles and a cougar prowls the Duncan Hotel and environs. Sechaba is much puzzled by the ways of women.

Calvin and S’khumbuzo are much puzzled by the ways of men. Katlego and Calvin wake after a sizzling one-night stand, but will it end there? S’khumbuzo wants to buy Bianca brunch to say sorry, and they both get more than they bargained for.

An unlikely stand-in presenter emerges when S’khu doesn’t arrive to host his show.
