Stephanie breaks off her engagement, Philip asks why, only to be told by her that she cannot live the Kiriakis life.
Nicole is relieved that EJ knows nothing about Johnny’s visit to Sami, but her efforts to make him rethink his position on the custody suit fail completely, Kate poisons a fruit basket sent from Daniel to Chloe as a housewarming gift and Rafe vows to help Sami get Johnny back.
Later, while Rafe is in the shower, Sami goes through his wallet and finds a mass card for Emily, learning the date of her death.
After taking a bite of the poisoned fruit, Chloe is ready to throw it due to the awful taste, but Kate subtly persuades Chloe to take another bite.
Chloe grows increasingly ill before collapsing in Daniel’s arms, Sami can’t resist doing research on Emily and Daniel rushes Chloe to the hospital.
Will finds Sami with Rafe’s wallet and calls her out on her snooping, Stefano gets some information regarding Emily’s death and Nicole is horrified to find Stefano indoctrinating Sydney into the DiMera ways.
Stefano reminds Nicole that she has no choice but to live by his rules, EJ gets a hint from Johnny that he and Nicole share a secret regarding Sami and EJ overhears Nicole leaving a message for Sami about Johnny.
Nicole learns from Stephanie that she and Philip broke up, Philip tries to woo Stephanie back and Nicole tells EJ that Stephanie broke up with Philip and plans on revealing EJ’s part in her kidnapping.
Nicole convinces EJ to work things out with Sami although EJ vows that if anyone betrays him like Sami did, they will be punished.
11 – 15 June
While EJ and Nicole seem to come to an understanding regarding Sami, Sami asks Rafe to move in and Nicole and Sami bond during an outing at the park.
Kate continues her plot to kill Chloe and plants evidence in Daniel’s apartment when Chloe is forced to return there with Lucas.
Sami and EJ argue over Rafe moving in with Sami, EJ begrudgingly agrees to drop the custody battle and Nicole thinks EJ’s suspicions of Rafe are based on jealousy.
Rafe burns the clipping about Emily’s death, Kate is almost caught in Daniel’s apartment by Chloe and Lucas after they find a woman’s scarf there and Daniel opens up about his love for Chloe to Brady.
Chloe collapses on the pier and has fevered dreams of her future with Daniel, Daniel tells Kate he’s quitting the TV show and leaving Salem and Sami finds Emily’s engagement ring and momentarily thinks Rafe is proposing.
EJ watches Rafe with Sami and Johnny and vows that their happiness won’t last, Outside the Horton cabin, Melanie hopes Philip and Stephanie will reunite, while inside, Philip does his best to try to work things out with Stephanie.
Brady warns Philip to be cool and not go after the lady in his life the way he went after Chloe and Belle, Chloe is sick and tells Lexie to keep Daniel away from her and after she falls asleep, Chloe mutters words regarding Daniel which leaves Lexie wondering what Daniel did to her.
Sami gives Nicole all the credit for convincing EJ to let her share custody of Johnny, feeling guilty, Nicole accidentally admits they both lost their baby girls, but then covers by explaining about Sydney’s near death experience, and while Sami attends to Johnny and Allie, Rafe questions Nicole about her attachment to Grace.
