Brown slams ‘racist’ officials
Chris Brown posted a series of tweets in which he expressed his frustration with the outcome of his latest court hearing and described the District Attorney as "racist".
Brown’s probation over his 2009 assault of Rihanna was revoked earlier this year after he was accused of a hit-and-run. That case was, however, dismissed and his probation reinstated after he agreed to complete an additional 1000 hours of community service.
Although Brown’s rant started out as what seemed like a feud with other artists in the industry – in which E! Online says no one specific was mentioned – he switched focus and started targeting the judicial system.
He wrote: "Ni**a done 6 months community service wit police and the DA racist ass crying to the judge that I didn’t do it. F**k the SYSTEM! [sic]"
He continued, "How about y’all take care of all the homeless kids and families on skid row. Promote helping people that are really f**ked up in your city!…Family first! The LAW…last…I paint pics of monsters because its a reflection of u bitchass ni**as and this bitchass system!"
According to E! Online, Brown must complete his 1000 hours of community service before his probation ends on 25 August 2014. The gossip site reports that he has the option of taking part in beach cleanup, highway cleanup, graffiti removal or general maintenance work.
Prosecutors have previously questioned whether or not Brown lawfully completed the 180 days of community labour that he was originally handed as part of his 2009 sentencing. The star was accused of faking documentation showing that he performed his community service at a children’s centre that his mother was involved with in his hometown of Virginia.
Brown must now have all of his community service supervised by Los Angeles County officials, TMZ reports.
