Gangster Squad moved back over shooting
Cape Town – Film studio Warner Bros has pushed back the release of the movie Gangster Squad following the shooting during the premiere of Dark Knight Rises in Denver, reported the .
The movie starring Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin and Sean Penn was set to hit cinemas on 7 September but has now been moved to 11 January 2013.
The decision to move the release date was taken after the inside a cinema.
The new movie also contains a scene where a theatre shootout takes place.
Warner Bros will allow time for the movie producers to reshoot some of the scenes that became problematic in the aftermath of the incident in Colorado.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the movie is based on LA police’s efforts to control the 1940’s mafia and included a climatic gun shooting which was filmed at Grauman’s Chinese Threatre.
The studio is currently holding discussion on how to go about the revising the movie.

The studio decided to reshoot the scene in light of the Aurora cinema shooting in Denver, Colorado which resulted in 12 deaths after a gunman opened fire during the premiere of The Dark Knight Rises.
