Zwai and Magesh’s bitter court battle

Zwai Bala and former TKZee band member Magesh have been embroiled in a bitter face off after Magesh beat up the singer on February 26, 2014.

Sunday Sun reported that Bala opened a case against his former friend Magesh after the rapper hit him at his girlfriend’s place earlier this year.

The newspaper also added that Bala took the stand in court to retell his series of events of the incident and what he experienced.

Bala reportedly said that Magesh was verbally abusing his girlfriend in his presence and when he reprimanded him and things got heated.

He also said that while Magesh and him engaged in conversation about anotehr subject, he got angry and Bala decided to leave.

“Magesh started shouting and swearing at me. He called me derogatory names,” said Bala.

"I got into the car and reversed. I stopped the car to talk to his girlfriend to check if she’d be fine since I was leaving," said Bala.

"The accused came from behind her and hit me across my face with a sharp object. Blood was gushing from my face and my vision was blurred," he told the court.”

He continued to say that even with blurred vision, he managed to drive himself to Fourways Hospital where the doctor stitched his face.

Magesh pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

This case between old friends was adjourned until next week for cross- examination.
