Zvirekwi Back With Warriors

October 21, 2015

Caps United defender, Hardlife Zvirekwi will rejoin the national team, the Warriors, after he apologised to team coach, Kalisto Pasuwa, for joining a team training camp late last week.

Zvirekwi, along with two other teammates, Justice Jangano and Ronald Chitiyo, was expelled from the national training camp last week after turning up late.

However, Zvirekwi has since apologised personally to Pasuwa and has subsequently been allowed back into the team.

Pasuwa has said that he accepted his apology and has drafted him back into the team for the next leg of the CHAN qualifier against Lesotho:

“…[sic] I have recalled Zvirekwi for the return leg in Maseru after he apologised. He wrote two letters apologising for his actions. He showed remorse and I decided to give him another chance…I will have to see if they improve in terms of discipline. But I can only consider them after the match against Lesotho. That means they won’t take part again for the return leg,” he said.

The team will stay at their camp in Bulawayo this week as they prepare for their next match.
