Zlatan Ibrahimovic To Recover Fully from Injury Says Agent
Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent, Mino Raiola, has released a statement on the condition of Manchester United’s star striker, saying that he will make a full recovery and that his most recent injury will not be ‘career-ending’.
The 35-year-old Swedish star sustained a rather significant knee injury last month. This occurred during Manchester United’s winning match against Anderlecht in the Europa League quarter final, after which he was ruled out for the remainder of the season.
Many people believed that the knee injury and subsequent surgery would mean the end of Zlatan’s career. However, his agent has insisted that this is not the case, and that he has already begun the rehabilitation process of his knee ligament.
“Zlatan Ibrahimovic has undergone successful knee surgery. He will make a full recovery and has not suffered a career-ending injury…The procedure was performed by Freddie Fu, M.D, and Volker Musahl, M.D, of the UPMC Sports Medicine program in Pittsburgh…Zlatan has started rehabilitation at UPMC and will remain under the care of Dr. Fu and Dr. Musahl throughout his recovery,” his agent said in a statement released to the press.
Zlatan and his agent remain confident that he will come back stronger, despite critics thinking otherwise.
Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho, however, has said that he expects Ibrahimovic’s recovery to be very hard, given his age.
Ibrahimovic has been a star player for United this season. In his first season with the English Premier League club, he managed to score a whopping 28 goals in a total of 46 appearances.
