Zim Cops Arrested For Trying To Sell Pangolin

November 02, 2015

Two Zimbabwean police officers have been arrested for allegedly trying to sell a live pangolin to a Zimbabwean businessman.

The rare animal, which resembles an ant-eater, is very precious in it’s kind and can easily sell for thousands of dollars.

However, in this case, the people trying to illegally sell the poor animal was arrested and the animal was confiscated from the men, alleged to be in their twenties.

It was a sad ending for the Pangolin, though, as he passed away after he was brought to a wildlife clinic. The clinic said that the Pangolin was severely malnourished and that he had passed away peacefully at the clinic.

It seems that Zimbabwe’s wildlife is under attack as of later with the recent elephant poisonings, endangered animal killings and illegal trade of live animals just gets more intense week after week.
