Zekumbawire ready for showdown

October 09, 2015

Harare City’s star striker, Francesco Zekumbawire, is said to be ready to demolish the competition on Sunday at the derby, as he finally returns to the sport after being plagued by injuries throughout the season.

The striker – who is a former Dynamos player himself – has not had much game time this season, as a string of injuries kept the fierce player from assisting his team. However, he recently told the press that he is 100% ready to go and is looking forward to being there for Harare City once more:

“…I don’t take personal glory what is important is the team winning. Confidence is high. There is no pressure, I am coming from injuries and slowly getting my fitness back, am slowly moving up so I am happy…[sic] It was good form on the particular game (against ZPC Kariba). Like any other striker, when you go into a game you want to score but sometimes it might not go your way…But you can always score, so I will go into the game against Dynamos and try do my best.”

Harare City take on the Dynamos this Sunday.
